Based on the instructions of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, given at the regular meeting of the Board of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, to provide assistance to the brotherly people of Afghanistan, who suffered from the earthquake, humanitarian aid was sent to the neighboring country.
At a regular meeting of the Board of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, O. Atabayeva, Executive Director and Vice President for Medical Affairs, noted that the news of the recent catastrophic earthquake in Afghanistan was received with deep sorrow in our country. She appealed to Hero Arkadag to allow the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care to provide humanitarian aid to this country and its fraternal people, especially children.
Having approved this initiative, the National Leader of the Turkmen people gave instructions to the relevant leaders to organize it.
In accordance with the decision, the ceremony for sending medicines, medical supplies, textiles, and food products to Afghanistan was organized based on the noble traditions established by the Turkmen people throughout their history and which serve as global examples.
Representatives of public organizations in our country, the Chargé d'Affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan, honorary elders, and representatives of ministries and departments took part in the humanitarian action.
Providing such assistance during the recovery from the devastation caused by the natural disaster signifies the affirmation of the highest principles of humanism. The prompt adoption of urgent measures to support the victims is proof of Turkmenistan's commitment to strengthening global peace and stability and the triumph of humanitarian ideals.
