A delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan for UNESCO, is participating in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which is taking place in Samarkand. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The conference began its work on October 30, 2025 and will last until November 13, 2025.
The opening ceremony was presided over by the President of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference. The Director-General of UNESCO and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hosting the event, delivered welcoming addresses to the conference participants.
It should be noted that the session and its parallel events are attended by heads of state and government, as well as other high-ranking representatives from various countries.
The conference will address key issues related to the development of international cooperation in science, education, culture, and information technology, strengthening global collaboration in the implementation of UNESCO programs, and current trends in humanitarian and educational policy.
The Tajik delegation's participation is aimed at strengthening cooperation with international partners, exchanging experiences, promoting the country's interests in science, education, and culture, and actively participating in the implementation of UNESCO's strategic initiatives.
