Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rajabali Rahmonali held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan Walid bin Abdulrahman Ar-Reshaidan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of a draft emergency response plan for the Republic of Tajikistan. The main goal of the initiative is to strengthen bilateral cooperation in enhancing emergency preparedness, coordinating the actions of government agencies, and implementing joint projects.
Rahmonali emphasized that joint work with the competent authorities of Saudi Arabia will improve the level of public safety, enhance public protection in emergency situations, and contribute to environmental conservation.
Ambassador Ar-Reshaidan noted the importance of exchanging experiences and implementing best practices in emergency response, emphasizing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's readiness for further cooperation with the Tajik side.
The parties agreed to continue working on the practical aspects of implementing joint projects, including preparing and conducting exercises, exchanging experts, and jointly developing infrastructure for the prevention and elimination of emergency consequences.
