In the city of Gissar, asphalt paving work has begun on the road connecting the village of Sharora with the capital's border, the city administration press service reported . The project is part of preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence.
The executive body of the state authority of Gissar decided to intensify work on improvement, repair, and construction of roads in all jamoats, settlements, and villages of the region to ensure comfortable and safe travel for residents and visitors.
Work in the village of Sharora began on September 25. It is planned to pave 2.6 kilometers of road from the village center to the administrative border with Dushanbe.
In the afternoon, the mayor of Gissar and member of the National Council of the Majlisi Oli, Jabbor Nasirzoda, visited the village of Sharora. Together with deputy mayors and local community leaders, he officially launched construction work. During the event, the importance of the project for improving the quality of road infrastructure and enhancing transport accessibility in the region was emphasized.
The project's implementation is also patriotic in nature and is aimed at improving living conditions for the population, strengthening the region's socio-economic development, and preparing for celebrations in honor of the national holiday.
