Over the years of independence, Tajikistan has created more than 3.7 million jobs, and employed over 1.1 million unemployed citizens. This was announced by the Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic, Soleh Kholmahmadzoda, at a ceremonial meeting of the ministry dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country's independence, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
According to him, over 500,000 people have received free vocational training during this period. "During the years of independence, labor, migration, and employment, as well as crafts, have developed significantly. The regulatory framework in these areas has been improved," the minister noted.
Kholmakhmadzoda clarified that six modern centers have been built and commissioned in Dushanbe, Khujand, Bokhtar, Rogun, and the Dangara and Vose districts as part of the "Improving Professional Skills and Employability" project. These facilities are equipped in accordance with international standards.
Furthermore, the republic is developing and implementing the Unified National Labor Market Information System (ETIS), which will enable the transition to a digital citizen service system. The Labor and Employment Agency is already equipped with the necessary equipment for this transition, the minister added.
