In the Zafarabad district of the Sughd region, 80 orphans and students from low-income families were given school uniforms and necessary school supplies to mark the start of the new academic year.
According to the regional administration's press service, the event was part of the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, during which 590 various facilities are planned for construction in the region. To date, 91% of these projects have been completed.
During a working visit, Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda opened a modern three-story service complex in the district center. This facility, built on the initiative and with the support of patriotic entrepreneur Gayrat Sultanov, is equipped with modern facilities for businesses and public services.
A shopping center has opened on the complex's ground floor, creating permanent jobs for eight people. The second floor houses a modern, 80-seat restaurant, enhancing the quality of service for area residents.
As part of the opening of the complex, on behalf of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, 80 orphans and students from low-income families were presented with school uniforms and stationery.
The Sughd Region Governor emphasized that Independence Day celebrations included constructive efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions for the region's residents. He noted the particular value of the contribution of local entrepreneurs to the region's social development.
