The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has ordered that the problem of shortage of teaching staff in the country's educational institutions be completely eliminated within one year.
The Head of State made this statement during the traditional "Peace Lesson," noting that providing educational institutions with qualified teachers is a key task in the field of education. He added that this directly impacts the quality of education, the upbringing of the younger generation, and the improvement of students' knowledge.
In 2024, according to state distribution, 3,168 graduates of secondary and higher vocational educational institutions were sent to work in schools and educational institutions in various cities and regions of Tajikistan.
"Currently, the country's general education institutions are experiencing a shortage of 3,848 teachers, which is almost half the number last year. The Ministry of Education and Science, as well as executive bodies in the regions, cities, and districts, must ensure that this shortage is completely eliminated within one year," the President emphasized.
Emomali Rahmon was given specific instructions to coordinate the work of the ministry and local authorities, as well as to attract graduates of pedagogical educational institutions to work in schools, especially in rural and remote areas.
The implementation of these measures is aimed at improving the quality of education and training qualified personnel for the further development of the country.
