In Tajikistan, 13,089 crimes were recorded in the first half of 2025, an increase of 1,285 cases compared to the same period last year. This was announced by Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda at a press conference on Friday.
According to him, 11,804 crimes were recorded from January to June last year. "The crime detection rate for the first six months of this year was 72 percent," the Interior Minister noted.
Rakhimzoda clarified that during the reporting period, six organized crime groups comprising 23 individuals were identified in the country. According to the agency, the members of these groups were involved in 73 crimes of various types.
The Minister emphasized that internal affairs agencies continue to work to strengthen public safety, suppress criminal activity, and improve the effectiveness of interaction with other agencies responsible for law enforcement.
