During 71 audits, the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan identified 14,147 financial violations totaling 628.2 million somoni. This was announced by the chamber's chairman, Jamshed Karimzoda, at a press conference on Friday.
According to him, inspections were conducted in ministries and departments, investment project implementation centers and groups, banks, business entities, and other organizations.
"Of the total number of violations, 606 cases were documented, amounting to 389.4 million somoni, and 13,282 cases were related to violations of the financial system, amounting to 238.8 million somoni," Karimzoda clarified.
The head of the Accounts Chamber noted that the identified facts have been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and action in accordance with established legal procedures. He also emphasized that the service will continue its oversight activities to improve the transparency and efficiency of public funds.
