In the first half of 2025, import volumes into Tajikistan amounted to $3.8 billion, an increase of $326.7 million, or 9.4%, compared to the same period in 2024. This was reported by Khurshed Karimzoda, Head of the Customs Service of Tajikistan, at a press conference today.
The largest exports were petroleum products (US$443.6 million), passenger cars (US$305.3 million), liquefied gas (US$121.2 million), and wheat (US$143.6 million). Passenger car imports more than doubled, increasing by 18,015 units or 113.3%.
Imports of vegetable oil, poultry, lumber, and mobile phones also increased. However, imports of flour, sugar, fertilizers, and liquefied gas decreased.
