As part of the modernization of digital processes and the development of e-government, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan launched the Smart Bridge interdepartmental information integration system. This technological platform is designed to facilitate interaction between government agencies and automate the exchange of information in the provision of public services.
As reported at a press conference held on August 4, 2025, the Smart Bridge system has become a key link in the digital state architecture and has already united nine ministries and departments, including:
Ministry of Internal Affairs
Ministry of Justice
Ministry of Transport
Ministry of Health
Tax Committee
Customs Service
Social Security and Pension Agency
National Bank
Road Inspection Department
The Smart Bridge system enables government agencies to transfer information in real time. Specifically, during the provision of government services, data is automatically transferred from one agency's database to another, eliminating the need for citizens to resubmit documents.
This digital integration ensures:
Reducing the time it takes to provide government services by 40–60%
Reducing administrative barriers
Improving the accuracy and security of data transmission
According to the Agency's Director, up to 20 more departments and municipal structures are planned to be connected to Smart Bridge in the coming months, including civil registration authorities (ZAGS), the migration service, and employment services.
To ensure the platform's stable operation, a dedicated data center (DPC) has been created, and the system's data transfer protocol complies with international security standards—ISO/IEC 27001.
The project is being implemented with the participation of domestic developers and is partially based on technological solutions from CIS and Asian countries. Its launch was made possible by the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated April 27, 2025, as part of the Digital Economy Development Strategy for 2025–2030.
