In the first six months of this year, 218 new industrial facilities were commissioned in Tajikistan's industrial sector, more than 3,400 jobs were created, and industrial production reached 29.6 billion somoni, an increase of 24%. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
"The launch of new production facilities is more than just statistics. It means new jobs, new taxes, and new prospects for local communities. We are continuing the path of accelerated industrialization, outlined by President Emomali Rahmon as a strategic goal," the statement noted.
The growth was achieved, in particular, by an increase in mineral extraction (by 1.7 times) and the development of energy and processing.
