In the capital of Tajikistan, in the Palace of the Nation, after the completion of high-level negotiations, a ceremony of signing new documents on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Mongolia was held. The event was attended by the heads of the two states – President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
The leaders of the countries signed a joint statement on the further development and strengthening of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation. In addition, the parties signed ten new memorandums of understanding and cooperation in various fields.
The signed documents cover a wide range of areas of cooperation:

The Foreign Ministries of the two countries signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of diplomacy;

Agreements in the energy sector between the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Energy of Mongolia;

Cooperation in agriculture, supported by a memorandum between relevant departments;

Development of tourism, culture, sports and youth policy;

Digitalization and innovative technologies;

Interaction in the prevention and elimination of emergency situations;

Scientific cooperation between academies of sciences;

Joint projects in the field of digital services and information technologies;

Security research;

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation between national museums.
Following the signing ceremony, Presidents Emomali Rahmon and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh held a joint press conference for media representatives, where they spoke in detail about the prospects and significance of the new stage of bilateral relations.
The signing of these documents opens up new opportunities for expanding political dialogue, deepening trade and economic cooperation and developing interregional ties between Tajikistan and Mongolia.
