Two new Boeing 737 MAX passenger aircraft will arrive in Tajikistan in early 2026. This was announced by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan, Habibullo Nazarzoda, at a press conference on July 23.
According to the department, the aircraft will be delivered as part of a program to update and modernize the country's civil aviation fleet. The aircraft are expected to be used on international and regional routes, providing a higher level of safety, efficiency and comfort for passengers.
"Boeing 737 MAX are modern narrow-body aircraft, distinguished by improved aerodynamics, increased fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels. Their introduction will significantly improve the quality of air transportation in the republic," the Agency emphasized.
The acquisition of new aircraft became possible thanks to cooperation with foreign aircraft manufacturing corporations.
It is noted that Tajikistan plans to continue updating its aircraft fleet to increase the competitiveness of domestic airlines and expand the geography of flights.
