A ceremonial meeting of schoolchildren from Tajikistan, participants of the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia, was held at the Dushanbe International Airport. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Silver medals at the prestigious international competition were won by students Mashrafdzhon Inomov and Olimdzhon Tukhtarov. Another participant, Mekhrubon Yusupov, was awarded an honorary diploma. In total, six schoolchildren, selected based on the results of the national competition, took part in the Olympiad as part of the Tajikistan team.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, teachers and relatives met the Olympiad participants at the Dushanbe airport with flowers and words of gratitude. The students were presented with memorable gifts for their high results and worthy representation of the republic in the international arena.
The department noted that the participation of Tajik schoolchildren in the International Mathematical Olympiad became possible thanks to the systematic support of talented youth, as well as the efforts of teachers and mentors.
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is one of the most prestigious world competitions for schoolchildren, in which the strongest teams from dozens of countries participate every year.
