In accordance with the plan of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops (SKPV) for 2025, competitions of dog handlers of border agencies of the CIS member states were held at the Border Canine Training Center of the FSB of Russia from July 7 to 11, the press service of the Executive Committee of the Organization reports.
Delegations from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in them.
On the first day of the competition, the participants demonstrated their skills in the disciplines “General Training Course” and “Obstacle Course”, on the next day they competed in the discipline “Search Service”, and then in the search and detection of explosives and narcotics.
The tournament was filled not only with the spirit of sports competition, but also took place in an atmosphere of friendship and respect for the opponent. According to the results of the competition, the teams of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia and the Border Troops of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan took first and second place, respectively, repeating the results of the previous championship in 2023. The team of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus rose to third place.
"During the competition, the participants demonstrated due persistence, perseverance, and strong-willed qualities, and they were assisted in this by a healthy spirit of competition, high-quality organization of the competition, and a high level of individual training. I am confident that holding such competitions will further strengthen friendship and cooperation between border agencies. The competitions of dog handlers of the border agencies of the CIS member states became a real test for all participants. I thank everyone for being able to overcome all the difficulties and achieve significant results – you demonstrated true professionalism and dedication to your work," said Lieutenant General Alexey Buero, Deputy Chairman of the Coordination Service of the SKPV.
The winners and prize winners of the competition were presented with cups, medals, diplomas, certificates and gratitude from the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops in a ceremonial atmosphere.
