A Tajik delegation led by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Farhod Vosidiyon participated in preliminary negotiations on the draft Agreement on Partnership for Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF), which took place on June 3 in Ulaanbaatar as part of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
During his speech, Farhod Vosidiyon noted that, thanks to the policies of Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon and the heads of state participating in the CAREC program, regional cooperation is demonstrating sustainable positive dynamics.

According to him, Tajikistan is interested in further expanding trade and economic ties, improving the investment climate, simplifying trade procedures, eliminating technical barriers, and ensuring sustainable development.
The meeting participants were presented with the Agreement on Partnership for Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF), which aims to develop cooperation between the countries participating in the CAREC program.
It was noted that the initiative envisages the formation of a transparent and comprehensive regional partnership to promote cross-border trade and investment, taking into account the growing role of digital technologies, logistics, and the innovation economy.
The implementation of the agreement is expected to contribute to the development of sustainable and mutually beneficial trade, strengthening economic ties between countries in the region, and further expanding cooperation within CAREC.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue working on agreeing on a draft Trade and Investment Facilitation Partnership Agreement during subsequent rounds of negotiations.
