On April 28, an Open Day was held in Dushanbe at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Tajikistan, aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
A rich program of cultural and educational events was prepared for the guests. Visitors were introduced to elements of traditional Chinese culture, and were treated to interactive spaces and introductory presentations.

As part of the event, guests took part in a tour of the embassy, where they learned about the building's history and the diplomatic mission's activities. Participants also viewed an exhibition of Chinese art.
Master classes in calligraphy, woodblock printing, and the traditional tea ceremony were held. Visitors were able not only to observe but also to participate in cultural activities, expanding their knowledge of China's traditions and contemporary development.

Following the tour, the official program began. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun delivered a welcoming address. He emphasized that Tajikistan and China have enjoyed centuries-old good-neighborly and cooperative relations, dating back over two thousand years.
The ambassador noted that in recent years, thanks to the efforts of the two countries' leadership, bilateral relations have been actively developing and strengthening. In his speech, he quoted a classic Tajik-Persian literary figure, emphasizing the importance of friendship between peoples.

Special attention was given to humanitarian cooperation. Specifically, the "Path to Health: A Journey to the Heart" program, implemented with the support of the Red Cross Society of China and the Red Cross Relief Fund, was mentioned. As part of this initiative, in March 2026, a group of ten children from Tajikistan with congenital heart defects was sent to China for treatment. Another group of children had previously received similar assistance.
Representatives of School No. 152 in Vahdat, which opened in 2025 with the participation of the President of Tajikistan and the Chinese Ambassador, also attended the event. The school's deputy director noted China's contribution to the development of education in the country.
School students and parents of children treated through the humanitarian program shared their impressions. They emphasized the importance of the assistance provided and the high level of support from China.

During the event, guests were also told about China's cultural traditions, language, history and achievements, as well as the development of bilateral relations.
At the end of the event, participants were presented with commemorative souvenirs, and a reception was held featuring a tasting of Chinese national cuisine and an informal discussion of cooperation issues.
It is noted that the Open Day has become an important element of public diplomacy aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and expanding cultural exchange between Tajikistan and China.
