On March 12, during a working visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma met with representatives of Nord Pool, one of Europe's largest electricity market operators. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the functioning of modern electricity markets. Particular attention was paid to the experience of European countries in organizing free electricity trade, as well as mechanisms for regulating regional electricity markets.


Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan, as part of the further development of the energy system and the integration of the regional electricity market, is paying special attention to studying and applying best international practices, including the experience of Nord Pool.
In turn, Nord Pool representatives expressed their willingness to exchange experiences, conduct expert consultations, and strengthen cooperation in the development of a modern electricity market.
