From November 17 to 28, 2025, the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-2025) will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The conference is the highest body of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and is dedicated to the development of the telecommunications industry. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference will include the adoption of a strategic plan for the development of the ITU telecommunications sector for the next four years, as well as the identification of priorities and key areas of activity for the industry.
A delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan is participating in the event. Isfandiyori Sadullo, Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered a report on key areas of development in the country's telecommunications industry, presenting current achievements, objectives, and plans for modernizing infrastructure, implementing modern technologies, and improving the quality of services.
The WTDC 2025 conference also serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing global telecommunications initiatives, strengthening international cooperation, and implementing new standards and digital development strategies aimed at improving the efficiency and accessibility of communications services.
Tajikistan's participation in this conference allows the country's representatives not only to inform the international community about national achievements in telecommunications but also to study the experience of other countries for the further development of the industry and the implementation of state digitalization programs.
