Foreign investment in Tajikistan's economy in the first half of 2025 amounted to $3.303 billion, an increase of $1.231 billion compared to the same period last year. This was announced by Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, at a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, over the first six months of this year, the volume of investments from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries amounted to $1 billion 412.8 million, an increase of $588.4 million compared to January–June 2024.
"$1 billion 891.1 million in investments came from non-CIS countries, which is $642.6 million more than in the same period last year," the committee head noted.
Foreign direct investment accounted for $144.7 million of the incoming funds. The remainder came from other forms of attracted capital, including loans, grants, and investments from international financial organizations.
As Rahimzoda emphasized, the growth in foreign investment volumes indicates the republic's increasing investment attractiveness, as well as a stable macroeconomic situation and effective government policy in this area.
