The national exhibition and competition "Best Projects in Architecture and Urban Development" took place on August 8-9 at the Khurramshahr Culture and Recreation Center in the village of Dangara, Dangara District, Khatlon Region. This was reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Chairman of the Committee on Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizom Mirzozoda noted that architecture is not only the art of constructing structures, but also a mirror of history, culture, and national values.
"Today, with the country's rapid development and the implementation of major infrastructure projects, the role of architects, designers, engineers, and industry specialists is becoming increasingly important. It is gratifying that, thanks to the leadership and wise policies of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the country's architectural and urban planning sector is developing and improving, creating favorable professional and legal conditions for the effective work of specialists," Mirzozoda emphasized.
Throughout the history of independent Tajikistan, the sustainable development of architectural and urban planning, a field steeped in millennia-old traditions, has received particular attention from the country's top political leadership. Thanks to these efforts, as well as the patriotic work of architects, designers, and builders, the ancient art of architecture and urban planning has acquired new meaning. Workers in this leading sector have achieved significant and important results, establishing a strong position on the international stage.
It was reported that 140 projects were submitted for the national exhibition and competition in the categories of "Multi-Story Residential Buildings and Complexes," "Social, Public, and Cultural Facilities," and "Student Architectural Work." Experienced designers also submitted more than 453 of the best designs and models of buildings and structures for various purposes.

Following the opening ceremony, exhibition participants were introduced to the ongoing improvement and construction work in the Dangara district, specifically the construction of buildings and structures in the villages of Dangara, Pushing, and Gar-gara.
The Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, congratulating the winners and runners-up of the high-profile exhibition-competition, noted the support and care of the founder of all the grandiose transformations in the country's architectural industry—President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
