Secondary School No. 129 in the Somon mahalla of the Firdavsi district is the third educational facility to be opened on August 15 with the participation of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
The educational institution was built by Umar Alimov, a local entrepreneur, as part of Emomali Rahmon's initiatives and guidance aimed at improving learning and education conditions, as well as developing science and education.
Currently, Secondary General Education Institution No. 129 in the Somon mahalla of the Firdavsi district has a student population of 1,733. The facility is designed to provide the nation's future generations with the best possible education, as its 56 classrooms, equipped with essential educational supplies, can accommodate 2,400 students in two shifts.
The classrooms for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, vocational training, basic military training, and information technology meet modern requirements and will contribute to the development of students' knowledge and thinking.
The use of two libraries – electronic and traditional – provides students with access to literature and curricula stored on websites.
In total, the institution has about 60 computers connected to the international Internet.
The spacious and well-equipped gym built in the institution promotes and develops a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness among students.
A 310-seat conference hall, a 216-seat cafeteria, a doctor's office, and other auxiliary facilities built in the institution generally lay the foundation for improving the quality of education and the work of teachers.
While familiarizing himself with the conditions and capabilities of this new educational institution, the Leader of the Nation praised the quality of the construction work and called it a worthy contribution to the development of the younger generation.
