Tajikistan's Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan, Guo Zhijun. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik Foreign Ministry.
According to the agency, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, focusing on political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
"The interlocutors expressed their readiness to further strengthen and expand mutually beneficial ties between Tajikistan and China, as well as to jointly implement new projects within regional and international platforms," the Foreign Ministry noted.
The head of the Foreign Ministry wished the new ambassador success in his diplomatic mission in Tajikistan, expressing confidence that his activities will contribute to the further deepening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
