On September 30, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon inaugurated the State Flag Square in the center of the Faizabad district, the presidential press service reported.
At the beginning, the National Flag was raised with the performance of the National Anthem.
National Flag Square is designed in a contemporary style with elements of national architecture. The structure was built to strengthen the residents' sense of self-awareness and patriotism and is considered a symbol of national unity and pride.
The height of the pole of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan is 55 meters, the length of the cloth is 14 meters, the width is 7 meters.
Emomali Rahmon also removed the veil from the monument to the founder of the first Tajik state, Shah Ismaili Somoni, at the National Shrines Square.
The height of the statue of Shah Ismaili Somoni is 7 meters, and its base is 5 meters.
The facility was built with funding from the Executive Authority of the Faizabad District and contributions from domestic entrepreneurs on a total area of 46 acres.
This measure was implemented in preparation for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The erection of a monument to the founder of the Tajik state, Shah Ismaili Somoni, and the National Flag in the center of the Faizabad district adds further appeal to the national shrine and demonstrates the protection of national values, as well as respect for the glorious Tajik history and culture.
During his tour, Emomali Rahmon praised the work completed and described the construction of new facilities in the district center as a model for honoring the historical figures of the Tajik people.
From now on, the National Shrines Square will become one of the main venues for state and national holidays and events, and will also provide residents with opportunities for recreation and entertainment.
Much attention has been paid to landscaping and the creation of flower beds around the building, and the area is decorated with bright flowers, ornamental and shady trees, and beautiful fountains.
In accordance with architectural and urban planning requirements, all pedestrian paths and walkways in and around National Flag Square, as well as near the Ismoili Somoni monument, are paved and illuminated, making the night view particularly beautiful and attractive.
