The Kushoniyon district of Khatlon Region has fully fulfilled its cotton harvest plan. Today, October 27, during a working visit to Invest-Koton LLC in Kushoniyon, Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said attended a ceremony to recognize farms and presented them with gifts. This was reported by the press service of the Khatlon Region Governor.
In his speech, the head of the region thanked farmers and farm managers for fulfilling the cotton harvest production plan.
Cotton growers in the Kushoniyon district reportedly harvested 22,753 tons of "white gold." This year, they cultivated 10,730 hectares of land, planting cotton varieties adapted to the region's conditions. Thanks to the proper organization of the growing stages, they were able to achieve the expected yield from their own crops.
It is noted that meeting planned targets not only contributes to increased farm incomes but also to the smooth operation of processing plants. Currently, 12 cotton gins are operating in the Kushoniyon district, working with farmers to promptly receive and process the harvested crop.
In connection with this, the head of the region presented letters of gratitude and commemorative gifts to leading producers.
According to the Regional Governor's Information Service, the cotton harvest plan for 19 cities and districts of Khatlon Region in 2025 is 254,300 tons. As of October 27, 241,335.1 tons have been harvested, which is 95 percent of the annual plan.
