As a result of a traffic accident that occurred early in the morning of July 23 on the M-5 "Ural" highway in the Ulyanovsk region of the Russian Federation, three citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan were killed. This was reported by the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, citing data from the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
According to information provided by the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the accident occurred at about 05:40 local time at the 254th kilometer of the M-5 highway, at the entrance to the village of Terengul.
A Hyundai H-1 minibus with registration number E655TK777, which was following the route, collided with a KamAZ truck (number K649TH05), which was parked on the side of the road.
As a result of the collision, three people died on the spot from severe injuries, and another six victims were taken to medical facilities in the region.
Among the dead were three citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan: Mardonov Abdulaziz S., born in 1993; Karamkhudoev Nodirjon K., born in 1997; Saidov Abdusalom S., born in 1991.
The prosecutor's office of the Terengulsky district of the Ulyanovsk region has organized an investigation into the traffic accident, within the framework of which all the circumstances of the incident will be established.
The Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
