During his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Touk Al-Marri visited the cultural and historical complex "Kokhi Navruz" in the capital of the country – Dushanbe. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the UAE.
During the tour, the guests, led by the minister, got acquainted with a unique architectural object that reflects the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people. The visit was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Arab Emirates Ashrafjon Gulov, as well as representatives of the business community and UAE officials.
The Minister and his entourage highly appreciated the design of the building, which was made using national ornaments and artistic carved elements demonstrated by the best Tajik craftsmen. The guests were particularly attracted by the carved wooden panels, paintings, original chandeliers and other architectural details reflecting the history, traditions and culture of Tajikistan.
The Kokhi Navruz complex occupies an area of about 40 thousand square meters and includes five floors decorated with traditional techniques of plastering, wood carving and mirror mosaic. Of particular value are the halls of different sizes, such as Didor, Arzhang, Gulistan and Zarandud, where national and international cultural events are regularly held.
The construction of the complex lasted for about five years, tens of thousands of semi-precious and precious stones, as well as high-quality wood, parquet, glass and mirrors were used for the design. Leading Tajik masters, specialists in Florentine mosaics, plaster casting and stone masonry were involved in the implementation of the artistic project.
The Navruz Palace has already become a landmark venue for significant national and international events, strengthening the tourism potential and cultural image of Tajikistan on the world stage.
