In Tajikistan, 35,699 celebrations and rituals were registered in the first half of 2026. This was announced today at a press conference by Farrukhullo Olimzoda, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs, Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations, and Rituals under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to him, 8,661 raids were conducted throughout the republic during the reporting period.
The largest number of raids took place in cities and districts of republican subordination, where 2,784 events were conducted. 2,337 raids were conducted in Dushanbe, 2,292 in Khatlon Region, 1,213 in Sughd Region, and 35 in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
According to Farrukhullo Olimzoda, in the first half of 2026, 704 cases of administrative offenses were considered due to non-compliance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the regulation of celebrations and ceremonies in the Republic of Tajikistan."
The cases were considered in accordance with Article 481 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses.
During the same period in 2025, 630 such cases were registered. Thus, in the first half of this year, the number of cases reviewed increased by 74.
Of the total number of cases reviewed, administrative penalties were imposed in 699 cases. The courts dismissed another five cases during the hearing.
The total amount of administrative fines imposed amounted to 5 million 97 thousand 96 somoni, Farrukhullo Olimzoda reported.
