On July 1, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held in Dushanbe at the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan. The discussion focused on the creation of the National Energy Sector Information System and the implementation of the Ministry's Cybersecurity Coordination Center. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by the ministry's leadership and senior staff, representatives of the country's energy companies, as well as international experts and industry specialists.

Opening the roundtable, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma noted that, in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies, the efficient use of data and the digitalization of energy management systems are becoming key to the sustainable development of the industry, improving management efficiency, and strengthening the country's energy security.

According to the minister, the creation of a National Information System as a unified platform for collecting, processing, analyzing, and exchanging industry data is an absolute necessity in the energy sector reform process. He emphasized that such a system will create a foundation for the digitalization of management processes, improve the transparency of energy sector operations, and enhance their efficiency.

During the event, Daler Abdurazokzoda, Head of the Ministry's Main Department for Energy Policy and Water Resources, presented a report on the role of the National Information System in the development of the energy sector. He discussed the goals of the system's creation and the expected results for the ministry and industry enterprises, focusing on the creation of a unified information space, data centralization, and its use for informed and effective management decision-making.

The roundtable participants also discussed the Concept of the National Information System of the Energy Sector of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Roadmap for its creation for 2026–2027, and the formation of a Cybersecurity Coordination Center for the Energy Sector.

Following the discussion, it was noted that the implementation of the National Information System and the creation of the Cybersecurity Coordination Center will contribute to increased transparency and efficiency in industry management, strengthening interdepartmental coordination, and increasing the sustainability of the energy system of the Republic of Tajikistan.
