On July 1, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon received Mafalda Duarte, Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund. During the meeting, the two discussed bilateral cooperation and preparations for the 45th meeting of the Fund's Board of Governors in Dushanbe, according to the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
During the talks, Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan's cooperation with the Green Climate Fund is developing successfully and is fruitful.
The meeting focused on the impacts of climate change, glacier conservation in mountainous regions, water resource management, and disaster risk reduction.



The parties welcomed the approval of the Fund’s Country Investment Program for Tajikistan and the new regional program “From Glaciers to Farmers.”
In addition, the interlocutors discussed cooperation in the fields of energy and agriculture.
Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their interest in continuing and further expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
