The 11th International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" concluded in Tajikistan.

The 11th International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth," attended by schoolchildren from nine CIS countries, concluded in Tajikistan. On the final day of the program, participants visited the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The guests were welcomed by Majlisi Namoyandagon Chairman Faizali Idizoda. He briefed the students on the parliament's activities, structure, and role in the country's socio-political life.

As part of the final events, the delegations also visited the Istiklol architectural complex, the Kokhi Navruz Palace, and the National Museum of Tajikistan, where they learned about the history and cultural heritage of the republic.

The forum's closing ceremony took place at the Odina Khoshim School of Arts. A concert program was prepared for the participants. Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, Abdukhalil Gafurzoda, thanked Chairman of the Majlisi Milli, Rustami Emomali, for the initiative to hold the forum in Tajikistan and for organizing the event. He wished schoolchildren from the Commonwealth countries continued friendship and interest in each other's cultures.

During the forum, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Sughd Region, also met with participants. He presented all participants with commemorative gifts—books and chess sets.

The 11th International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" was held in Tajikistan on June 15. The project, initiated by the Kyrgyz Parliament (Zhogorku Kenesh) since 2013, is one of the largest platforms for communication, cultural exchange, and strengthening friendships between schoolchildren from the Commonwealth countries.

The current forum was attended by schoolchildren from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
