On June 20, an environmental campaign, "Clean the Coast," took place in Dushanbe under the motto "My City – My Home." The event was organized by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan as part of preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence, according to the agency's press service.
The event took place on the right bank of the Dushanbe River, located in the Firdavsi district of the capital. It was attended by the leadership and staff of the Committee's central office, representatives of its subordinate structures in Dushanbe, employees of relevant organizations and institutions of the Dushanbe City Executive Authority, as well as volunteers.

Participants worked together to clean up the coastal area, improve the environment, and contribute to its preservation.
According to the organizers, similar environmental events will be held every Saturday as part of 2026, which has been declared the "Year of Expanding Improvement and Creation Work, as well as Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness."
The events are aimed at supporting Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali's initiatives to green and improve the capital, promote environmental stewardship, and raise environmental awareness among the population.
During such events, roads, streets, and public areas are cleared of various wastes that degrade the appearance of the natural environment and negatively impact the state of the environment.
