On June 23, 2026, in Vienna, Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, met with African Development Bank Group President Sidi Ould Tah. The talks took place as part of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Fund for International Development Development Forum, according to the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of energy development, sustainable water resource management, and infrastructure projects.
Daler Juma noted Tajikistan's readiness to strengthen cooperation with the African Development Bank Group to attract investment for the country's strategic projects. Particular attention was paid to the development of hydropower, renewable energy sources, and efficient water resource management.
The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation in the area of climate change adaptation and implementing joint programs aimed at increasing the resilience of vulnerable economies.
