Law enforcement agencies in the capital of Kyrgyzstan are conducting investigations following a series of reports of alleged explosive devices planted in administrative buildings and government agencies, Interfax reports, citing the press service of the Bishkek Main Department of Internal Affairs.

The report notes that during the day, law enforcement agencies received more than 15 reports of possible mining of various facilities.

Manas International Airport was the first to receive a warning of a suspected threat. Consequently, employees and visitors were evacuated from the terminal building. Later, evacuations were also carried out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Zhogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan.

Reports of allegedly planted explosive devices were also received by the State Agency for State Property Management, the Uchkun printing house, the head office of the State Mortgage Company, and the Gosstrakh company.

Security measures have been implemented at all sites. Police have cordoned off the areas, and workers, visitors, and members of the public have been evacuated. Investigative teams, specialists from relevant agencies, and canine teams with sniffer dogs are on site, searching the buildings and surrounding areas.

According to the Bishkek Main Department of Internal Affairs, inspections at most of the sites have already been completed. The reports of explosive devices have not been confirmed. Inspections at the remaining sites are ongoing.
