As part of the IT Hub Dushanbe project, Tajikistan plans to establish a Regional Artificial Intelligence Center, which will become one of the key hubs for the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in Central Asia. This was reported by the press service of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The agency recalled that, at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a special resolution, "Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development in Central Asia." This document, it noted, demonstrated international recognition of Tajikistan's initiatives in the field of digital technologies.

The creation of the Regional Artificial Intelligence Center is seen as a continuation of this initiative. According to the plan, the new center will be equipped with modern laboratories, research units, innovation platforms, and conference halls for hosting international events.
The center's structure also includes a powerful data processing center. Its capacity will range from 50 to 75 megawatts, providing the necessary conditions for training artificial intelligence models and processing large volumes of data.
Once the facility is operational, Dushanbe plans to attract scientists, experts, engineers, and artificial intelligence specialists from Central Asian countries and beyond. They will be able to participate in joint projects, conduct scientific research, and develop advanced technologies.
According to the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, the creation of the center will be a key factor in training highly qualified personnel, attracting investment, developing an innovation ecosystem, and strengthening Tajikistan's position as a regional hub for technology and artificial intelligence in Central Asia.
