The Representative Office of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation urged citizens planning to work in Russia to prepare in advance of their departure.
The agency noted that, given changes to Russian migration legislation and the development of new mechanisms for the organized recruitment of foreign workers, labor migration requires a more responsible and prepared approach.
According to official information, starting in 2027, Russia plans to implement projects aimed at developing a system for the organized recruitment of foreign workers. These measures include strengthening oversight of migration processes, raising qualification requirements for workers, and improving centralized selection and hiring mechanisms.
The Ministry of Labor's representative office emphasized that, in this regard, preparing citizens before leaving Tajikistan is of particular importance.
Citizens are advised to undergo pre-departure training, including studying the fundamentals of Russian migration and labor legislation, gaining basic knowledge of the Russian language, familiarizing themselves with their rights and responsibilities as foreign workers, and preparing for official employment.
In addition, potential labor migrants are advised to obtain the necessary documents in advance, including a passport and documents confirming their qualifications.
The agency also recommends actively using state programs for vocational training, retraining, and advanced training, as well as consulting services on employment abroad.
Particular attention is paid to the capabilities of the State Institution "Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Workers in the Sphere of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population," where citizens can receive training in in-demand specialties, courses on adaptation for work abroad, and receive advice on legal employment.
The Ministry emphasized that, given the tightening of requirements for foreign workers, the lack of necessary training and professional skills could become a serious obstacle to employment in Russia.
According to the agency, preliminary training helps improve qualifications, ensure legal employment, reduce the risk of immigration law violations, and protect citizens' labor rights.
The Tajik Ministry of Labor's representative office in Russia called on citizens to take a responsible approach to labor migration, utilize all available government opportunities for education and training, and strictly adhere to the laws of the host country.
The agency emphasized that only comprehensive preparation before departure can guarantee safe, legal, and successful employment abroad.
