On June 4, 2026, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Daler Murodalizoda met with Alma Karabasova, Vice President of the Commercial Group and Head of the Central Asia Office of the international rating agency Moody's Ratings. This was reported by the press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, an assessment of Tajikistan's sovereign credit rating, and the current state of the country's financial sector.
Daler Murodalizoda expressed satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation with the international rating agency Moody's, noting that interaction with the company plays an important role in strengthening the confidence of the international financial community in the economy of Tajikistan.


Following the meeting, Alma Karabasova delivered a detailed presentation on the methodology for assigning credit ratings and the key factors influencing their formation. Specifically, indicators of financial stability, fiscal policy, institutional resilience, and potential risks of unforeseen situations were discussed.
In addition, participants were provided with information about the activities of Moody's Ratings, the geography of services provided in Central Asian countries, and opportunities for further cooperation in the field of credit ratings.
During the discussion, it was noted that Moody's provides a wide range of rating and analytical services to credit and insurance organizations, helping to increase transparency, improve risk management systems, and attract investment in the financial sector.
The meeting was also attended by heads of relevant departments of the National Bank of Tajikistan, who expressed their opinions and suggestions on the materials presented and specific areas of rating indicator formation.
