On June 3, during a working visit to the city of Hisor, Tajikistan's Minister of Agriculture, Qurbon Hakimzoda, reviewed the activities of farmers from the limited liability companies "Latif Murodov" and "50th Anniversary of October." Also participating in the visit were Hisor Mayor Jabbor Nosirzoda and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bahromjon Akhmadzoda, according to the Hisor city press service.
During a farm visit, the minister praised the condition of agricultural crops. Speaking with farmers, he reiterated the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and emphasized the need to expand the planting of climate-adapted and drought-resistant grain crops, including local varieties. He stated that this is essential to ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the face of low water levels.

Kurbon Hakimzoda instructed officials to more actively utilize the experience of industry scientists and provide farms with high-quality local seeds. He believed this would enable farmers to achieve the desired harvest and reduce costs. Particular attention was paid to the need to widely use local wheat varieties that are drought- and climate-resistant and capable of delivering high yields in Tajikistan's climate.
During the meeting, it was also noted that farmers are working closely with scientists from the Institute of Plant Growing of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan. The institute's scientific achievements in the field of high-yield seed breeding are being widely implemented. The minister emphasized that the use of domestic varieties developed by Tajik breeders that are tolerant to low rainfall is an important way to protect crops from extreme heat and seasonal moisture deficits.

During his visit, the minister visited the fields of 50th Anniversary of October LLC, where he learned about film-based crop cultivation. It was noted that this technology helps retain soil moisture, accelerates seedling germination, and increases yields. Responsible officials and farmers were instructed to effectively utilize all available resources, as well as the necessary methods and mechanisms for timely inter-row cultivation, plant irrigation, and pest control.

Kurbon Hakimzoda also visited the Agrotechservice CJSC plant in Gissar. The plant assembles Belarus-brand tractors. The minister noted that using domestically produced equipment helps reduce farmers' costs and speeds up agricultural work.
He visited the company's production lines to learn about the manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes of combine harvesters, all carried out by local specialists. The minister noted the quality of the equipment being manufactured and instructed those responsible to take the necessary measures to ensure timely provision of harvesting equipment to farms during the harvest season.

According to the company's director, Agrotekhservis CJSC is an official dealer for major foreign companies, including Gomselmash OJSC and Klever JSC, which supply combine harvesters and other equipment to the country. The company's engineers are constantly improving the designs of trailers and equipment to meet the needs of local farmers. Furthermore, the company has mobile repair teams that provide maintenance and repairs to equipment both during and after the warranty period.
