As part of the Days of Russian Culture in Tajikistan, an exhibition prepared by the National Museum of Tatarstan was presented in Dushanbe and attracted considerable interest from visitors, reports NIAT Khovar.
A photography exhibition and a series of interactive workshops introduced guests to the rich cultural heritage of Kazan, a city awarded the honorary title of "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2026." The organizers sought to showcase the multifaceted character of Tatarstan's capital, showcasing both monuments from its historical past and contemporary cultural and educational facilities.
The exhibition included photographs of the ancient architecture of the Kazan Kremlin and the Kul Sharif Mosque, as well as modern creative spaces and Islamic educational centers. Each photograph was accompanied by detailed annotations in Russian and Tajik, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the region's history and cultural characteristics.
Alongside the photography exhibition, hands-on workshops were organized for guests. Everyone had the opportunity to learn traditional crafts, including the basics of calligraphy, leather mosaic, and ceramic painting using traditional patterns.
According to visitors, the events not only enhanced the program of the Days of Russian Culture in Tajikistan but also contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and cultural exchange between the peoples of the two countries.
