Today, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, the presidential press service reported.
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In this context, the positive dynamics in the development of relations between the two countries were noted. Attention was focused on the importance of continuing the active implementation of previously reached intergovernmental agreements.
Continuing their conversation, the two heads of state reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level meetings in multilateral formats, including discussions on preparations for the SCO anniversary summit, which will be held in Bishkek from August 31 to September 1 of this year.
The presidents also exchanged views on specific issues on the international and regional agenda.
