Several fatal traffic accidents occurred in Tajikistan in the past 24 hours. According to law enforcement, the accidents were recorded in the Kushoniyon, Jaloliddin Balkhi, and Khuroson districts, the Tajik Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The first accident occurred on May 18, 2026, at approximately 7:20 PM. The driver of a Ural motorcycle, Kurbonazar Toirovich Odinaev, born in 1962, a resident of Bokhtar, was traveling from Bokhtar toward the Kushoniyon district. In the Oriyon rural jamoat of the Kushoniyon district, he violated traffic rules, drove into oncoming traffic, and collided with a BYD Song Plus electric vehicle driven by Kiyomiddin Rakhmiddinovich Kabirov, born in 1976, a resident of Bokhtar.
As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver died at the scene. His wife, Muyasara Zarifovna Odinaeva, born in 1964, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Another accident occurred that same day at approximately 10:00 PM on the Dushanbe-Panj highway in the Jaloliddin Balkhi district. The driver of an electric motorcycle, Jamoliddin Khabibovich Khaidarov, born in 1962, a resident of the Vakhsh district, lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The man suffered serious injuries and later died in hospital.
The third accident was reported on May 19 at approximately 5:00 AM on the Dushanbe-Bokhtar highway in the Khuroson district. The driver of a Mercedes-Benz, Yuldoshev Hasanboy Mansurovich, born in 1987, a resident of Khujand, lost control and crashed into the rear of a Foton belonging to Sadirov Abdusattor Ismonovich, born in 1984, a resident of the Farkhor district. The truck was parked on the right shoulder of the road.
As a result of the collision, the Mercedes-Benz driver received serious injuries and died at the scene.
All facts are being investigated.
