Tajikistan has recorded an increase in industrial production since the beginning of 2026, according to the country's Statistics Agency's report on the country's socio-economic development for the first quarter of this year.
According to official data, the country produced 16 billion somoni worth of industrial goods in January–March 2026. This represents a 14.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
As noted in the report, the main factor behind the growth in overall industrial production was the increase in indicators in the manufacturing industry, where growth amounted to 29.6%.
Growth was also recorded in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sectors, with the figure for this sector increasing by 7.5%.
In addition, the volume of services in the field of water supply, waste treatment and waste management increased by 17%.
