A 23-year-old shepherd suspected of murdering his employer has been detained in the Rudaki district, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on the evening of May 10th in a pasture in the village of Esanboy. A dispute arose between Yusufbek Isamuradov and 35-year-old Ilkhomjon Rakhmonov, a resident of the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe, over wage payments.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during an argument, the suspect fired a shotgun at the man. Rakhmonov died from his wounds at the scene.
Investigators believe that after this, the suspect attempted to conceal the crime and buried the body of the deceased in a pasture.
Yusufbek Isamuradov was detained by law enforcement officers. The Rudaki District Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case against him under Article 104 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan ("Murder").
According to the country's legislation, this article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight years to life imprisonment.
The position of the detainee himself in the case is currently unknown.
