Khatlon Region continues to increase agricultural exports to foreign markets. On Wednesday, May 13, 10 trucks carrying 200 tons of agricultural produce were dispatched from the region to foreign markets, with the participation of Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said. This was reported by the Khatlon Region Chairman's Information Service.
According to the Khatlon Regional Customs Administration, since the start of the export season, over 3,562 tons of agricultural products have been delivered to foreign markets through the republic's customs points.
Early onions accounted for the bulk of exports, reaching 2,944 tons. In addition, more than 226 tons of red beets, 73 tons of apricots, 20 tons of plums, 22 tons of cabbage, 20 tons of green onions, and 257 tons of other agricultural products were exported abroad.

Products from the Khatlon region are mainly supplied to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Syria.
To ensure the safe and efficient transportation of export cargo, convoys of vehicles are accompanied by officers from the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.

The authorities also announced that, to support entrepreneurs and exporters, customs clearance procedures have been simplified and made more transparent. According to the responsible authorities, this has created favorable conditions for the expedited export of agricultural products from the country.
Experts attribute the increase in export volumes to the development of industry infrastructure, including the creation of logistics centers, storage warehouses, cold storage facilities, and packaging facilities. According to officials, these measures have helped the region's producers and entrepreneurs strengthen their positions in foreign markets.

It is specifically emphasized that, in fulfilling the instructions of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, relevant agencies have been instructed to maximize the effective use of existing opportunities to further increase exports of domestic products.
For the rapid transportation of products, the international routes Dushanbe – Bokhtar – Panj-Poyon, Dushanbe – Kulyab – Khorog – Kulma – China, Kizil-Kala – Jarbuja – Uzbekistan, Bokhtar – Dangara – Kulyab, as well as other updated roads of the republic are actively used.
The executive body of state power of the Khatlon region noted that, together with interested structures, including the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan, work continues to develop the region's export potential and promote domestic agricultural products in international markets.
