As part of his state visit to the People's Republic of China, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with Chinese Premier Li Xiang in Beijing. The Tajik presidential press service reported this.
During the meeting, Emomali Rahmon emphasized that China remains a friendly country, a good neighbor, and a reliable strategic partner for Tajikistan.
As noted during the negotiations, trade turnover between the two countries increased by almost 46% in 2025 compared to 2024. It was also reported that Chinese investment in Tajikistan's economy from 2007 to 2024 reached almost $6 billion, the majority of which was direct investment.
The parties noted that the activities of more than 700 companies with Chinese capital are a clear example of the high level of trust between the business communities of the two countries.



It was emphasized that Chinese investment in various industrial sectors, including the mining sector, as well as in energy, transportation, construction and agriculture, continues to grow.
The Tajik side expressed interest in attracting Chinese capital to implement projects and programs in the areas of digitalization, artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and the development of a green economy, energy, and industry.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the continued implementation of major projects in the real sectors of the Tajik economy, including energy, road construction, industry, and agriculture.
The parties also discussed ways to increase exports of Tajik agricultural and agro-industrial products to the Chinese market, as well as the creation of an innovative scientific and technical agropark between the two countries in Tajikistan.
