Colombian singer Shakira has announced the release of the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The track, titled "Dai Dai," features Afrobeats artist Burna Boy.
The artist announced the premiere on social media, posting a short video filmed at the Maracanã Stadium. The footage shows the singer on a football field surrounded by dancers. According to Shakira, the full version of the song will be released on May 14.
"From the Maracanã Stadium – Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup," the singer wrote.
Shakira is called the "queen" of the World Cup, as her compositions accompanied four World Cups in a row.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11 with a match between Mexico and South Africa at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey, near New York City.
For the first time, the tournament will be held simultaneously in three countries—the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Forty-eight national teams will participate. Russia, as previously, remains suspended.
