At the lead production joint venture Broadtek-Tojikiston Mining Investment Limited, preparatory work for the resumption of production is continuing after a lengthy hiatus, the Penjikent city press service reported .
As noted, the work is being carried out with the support of the Government of Tajikistan, the executive bodies of state power of the Sughd region and the city of Penjikent.
During a working visit to Penjikent, a representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Academician Kobil Khushvakzoda, together with the mayor of the city, Abdukholik Kholiqzoda, familiarized himself with the progress of restoration and preparatory work for the first stage of the enterprise.






It is reported that work is currently ongoing at the site to prepare for the launch of production, technical testing of equipment and mechanisms, construction of a new workshop, and reconstruction of the ore mining source in the Mushiston area.
During the first stage of the project, it is planned to create 150 jobs.
During the working visit, the delegation was introduced to the activities of a slate production workshop, built in the territory of the Sukhina jamoat through investments by entrepreneur Fariz Kamolov and his brothers.
Taking into account market demand, the company is capable of producing up to 1,500 sheets of slate per shift.



A construction sand and crushed stone processing plant at Salmon-Binokor LLC also opened near the site. The facility is expected to produce up to 120 tons of construction sand per shift. Ten new jobs have been created.
In addition, the delegation inspected the progress of construction of a lead ore mining and processing plant in the Mogiyon jamoat, which is being implemented by Kanzi Diyor LLC.
Work is reportedly currently ongoing to prepare the plant's infrastructure, including construction of a road to the ore mining site, construction of a dormitory, installation of a power line, and exploration of ore reserves.
After the launch of the enterprise, it is planned to create up to 1,000 jobs in the first stage.
