The Tajikistan team took first place at the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS Open Chess Cup, which took place on April 22–23 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This was announced by the Tajikistan Chess Federation.
During the tournament, the team demonstrated a high level of preparation and confident play, which allowed it to take first place among all participating teams.



The delegation included Nazarzoda Zafar, who led the team, as well as Vatanov Khurshed, Kurbonov Saidakhror, Asadullozoda Izatullo, Makhmudzoda Mirzo, Atohuja Zikrullo, Odinaeva Saodat, Maskhabova Amina and Maskhabova Shukrona.
Tajik chess players also showed strong results in individual categories. In the "Best Women's" category, Shukrona Maskhabova took first place, Amina Maskhabova took second, and Saodat Odinaeva took third.





In the "Best Result Among Veterans (50+)" category, Saidakhror Kurbonov took second place. In the "Best Result Among Government Employees" category, Mirzo Mahmudzoda took third place.
It is noted that the achieved results confirmed the high level of preparation of the team and the coordinated work of its members, who represented Tajikistan with dignity on the international stage.
