My name is Anna. Inspired by the films "Don't Speak of Death" and "Autumn Water," I decided to spend one day in Chaozhou and do things like the Chinese.
I visited the Temple of Han Yu, where I felt like a comedic hero, strolled along the ancient Paifangjie Street, sampled local tea, and watched a local opera performance. To the rhythms of the Yinggewu Dance, I felt the rhythms of China's intangible cultural heritage. And at sunset, I enjoyed the views of the Hanjiang River from the Guangjiqiao Bridge.
Following the route of movie scenes, I felt the depth of Chaozhou culture and the cozy atmosphere of this southern Chinese city.
